Feng-Yuan Chang
Chang received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Tunghai University in Taiwan in 1990. Then he earned his MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University in 1992 and 1996. After completion of his PhD, he served at the army as a second lieutenant to guard coast in Taiwan from 1996 to 1998. In 1998 to present, he works as a senior engineer at the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan R.O.C, where he was involved in the design of industrial technology development policies. In the late of 2000, he was selected as a Fulbrightor by the U.S. Fulbright Foundation to do his research in America. In September 2001, Chang joined the CASL as a Visiting Fellow. His current research is in the areas of phase stability analysis by utilizing global optimization techniques.
