The latest version of the MINOPT software for UNIX platforms is always available from this site at the MINOPT Software Archive.
The PC versions of the MINOPT software for WindowsNT/95 and for linux can be obtained by contacting the person below.
The software can be downloaded and installed at anytime. However, in order to use the program, a valid license key must be purchased.

• Once MINOPT has been purchased, you will need to obtain a license key. To get the license key, send email to

  minopt@titan.princeton.edu

  In the email, provide the following information:
  • Your Name
  • Your Company/Institution/University
  • Solvers to be licensed (GBD, OA, DAESSA)
  • Number of licenses
  • Duration of the license
  • Hostname of the computer used to run MINOPT (uname -n)
• Once you have provided this information, you will receive a license key for MINOPT for the computer you have identified. The MINOPT license key is a 64 character string.
  The MINOPT license should be placed in a file named '.minoptlicense'. This file can be located in the user's home directory (the value of the $HOME environment variable), the directory specified by the $MINOPTDIR environment variable, or the directory '/usr/local/etc'.

Note: Multiple licenses can exist in a single license file thus allowing one license file to be used for several machines.

Note: Any line in the license file that is not 64 characters in length is considered a comment and is ignored.
