Phanourios Tamamis

Phanourios Tamamis received my Ph.D. degree in 2010, following a top B.Sc. academic performance in 2006, from the Physics Department of the University of Cyprus. His Ph.D. thesis entitled ˊFormation of Peptide Nanostructures and Molecular Recognition of Complement Component Protein C3 by Compstatin: Molecular Dynamics Studiesˊ was conducted under the supervision of Prof.Georgios Archontis, and was in collaboration with the Tel Aviv University, the University of Crete, the University of California at Riverside, and Princeton University. During the period 2010 - 2012, he held two visiting lecturer positions at the University of Cyprus and the University of Nicosia, he served as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Physics Department of the University of Cyprus, and a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California at Riverside and Princeton University, under the co-supervision of Prof. Dimitrios Morikis and Prof. Christodoulos A. Floudas, respectively. During his Fulbright Scholarship, he was awarded as anˊOutstanding Young Researcherˊ by the Computational Biophysics to Systems Biology conference. Since 2013, he is a postdoctoral research associate at Prof. Christodoulos A. Floudasˊ lab at Princeton University.
