Josephine graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Her thesis is titled “Discovery and Operation of Hybrid Energy Processes: Novel Frameworks for Planning, Synthesis, and Design under Uncertainty.” Optimization methods are developed to identify optimal designs of a coal, biomass, and natural gas to liquids (CBGTL) plant as well as the optimal locations for a nationwide energy supply chain network for transportation fuels.
