Frances Pereira

Frances joined CASL in April 2011 and is working on methods for protein structure prediction. She received her PhD in chemical engineering from Imperial College London in the autumn of 2010, where she was a member of the Molecular Systems Engineering group. The focus of her thesis was algorithms for the solution of fluid-phase equilibria, and she also worked on the design and optimisation of carbon capture processes for natural gas reservoirs. Prior to her doctoral studies, Frances obtained an MEng in Chemical Engineering (2006), also from Imperial College.
