Professor Qiuhua Tang
Prof. Qiuhua Tang received her BS in Mechanical Manufacturing Process and Equipment from Northeast University of China in 1992 and then joined Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) as a faculty member. She earned her MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from WUST in 2000 and from Wuhan University of Technology in 2005, respectively, with the generous support of a fellowship from WUST. After the completion of her PhD, she serves as the Vice Dean of the Industrial Engineering Department and the Leader of the Production Process Simulation group. In 2007, she received the Young Outstanding Teacher Fellowship from the China Scholarship Council, Ministry of Education, for her research in America. In September of 2008, Prof. Tang joined the CASL group as a visiting fellow and began to collaborate with Prof. Floudas in the area of scheduling mixed-model automobile assembly line by utilitzin global optimization techniques.
