Meng Piao Tan
Meng graduated from Cornell University with a B.Eng. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering in 2000 and then from Princeton University with an M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering the following year. His research focus was on fluid dynamics and combustion physics. Meng then worked for 3 years in investment management, industry strategy analysis, startup funding, and corporate advisory before returning to Princeton in 2004 to pursue a PhD in Chemical Engineering (Quantitative & Computational Biology Program). Meng is currently working with Professor Floudas and Professor Broach (Department of Molecular Biology) in building novel mathematical models to study signal transduction pathways in eukaryotic cells.
