Meghan Bellows

Meghan graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature in May of 2006. Her thesis project involves the use of computer simulation and modeling to study how proteins handle the adverse effects of chemicals on living organisms. More specifically, optimization techniques are developed and used in the design process of de novo proteins, which would aid in the creation of new proteins to be used as vaccines.
