Jianyong Yu

Jianyong received his MS in detect technology and automatic device from the Department of Automation at Zhejiang University of Technology in Hangzhou, China in 2005. After that, he worked as an engineer for Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Research Institute. In 2008, he started to pursue his PhD in the area of bioinformatics at Shanghai Jiaotong University in Shanghai. With the supporting from China Scholarship Council of Ministry of Education, he joined the CASL group as a visiting student and began to collaborate with Prof. Floudas in the area of protein structure prediction by utilizing global optimization techniques, in December of 2009.
